The Tidy City Scout let's you scout out places while walking around in the city. It enables you to record GPS positions and to take pictures as well as notes. Afterwards you can upload your new riddles to our server and can complete the riddles in the web interface.
Just walk around the city and look out for something that would make a nice riddle. When you have found something, press the + button to create a new item. This brings you to the detail view. Every item needs a title, two photos and two GPS positions. Optionally, you can also take some notes.
The riddle photo is the image the player will see initially when playing the game. Therefore it should not make it too obvious what the riddle is about. Close-ups often work quite well as do photos from an unusual perspective.
The solution photo on the other hand is displayed when the player has solved the riddle. It should show the object in all it's glory so that it is easy to recognize.
The solution position is very important. This is the location the player has to go to in order to solve the riddle succesfully. Therefore please double check if the current GPS position is really the one you want to use by comparing your position on the map.
The riddle position is where the player will find the riddle initially. This should not be too near to the real place of the object. Perhaps you can find something that has a meaning for the riddle as well? E.g. if you want to make a riddle out of a bridge, maybe the players will then find your riddle at another bridge?
Several riddles have been created.

When you are done collecting enough data, you can select 'upload all' from the menu. This is how you transfer all collected data to the server so that you can access it later from the web browser.
It is a good idea to make sure that you have a fast and stable internet connection when uploaded your new riddles. Alternatively, you can also just select a few riddles at a time and upload everything seperately.
Afterwards, you can log-in to this website and start completing your own mission!
